ANISETTE

2 cups water
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
100 proof vodka
1-1/2 teaspoon anise extract

Bring water and sugar to boil, simmer 10 minutes stirring often. Add flavorings. Stir and cool. Mix 1 part syrup with 2 parts vodka. Add more anise extract to taste.
